Who reigns at the capitol?

Governor Eddie Panlilio is spreading in the whole country and even abroad that what we have in Pampanga now is good governance. This political propaganda of the governor puts the integrity of the province in bad light. Panlilio is engaging himself on false talks and hopeless hopes, having been a former priest.

However, even if he uses the title Among in his speaking engagement, who will believe that we have good governance when Panlilio and his fellow leaders in the province are now having mutual distrust and loss of confidence?

If Panlilio still carries on with his job as a weak leader of this province, we have nowhere to go except in the kangkungan. This is the reason why more than 200,000 Kapampangans signed the recall petition.

However, if the turn of events favors Panlilio, Lolita Hizon, his number-one-supporter-turned-number-one-critic, has this to say: “If Panlilio can escape the judgment of men, he can never for sure pass the judgment of God. In His time, the truth will unfold, lies will perish. He can fool only those who like to live in darkness but those who live in light can never be deceived by his being a former man of the cloth.”

Others are saying this is not good governance but a Dabu-centered-leadership. My assets at the capitol are saying that you don’t do your job as governor. However, they told me that you let Atty. Vivian Dabu run the capitol and bring the capitol where she wants to. In fact, capitol heads are claiming you don’t even read or analyze the communications and memoranda that you sign. Hence, unwittingly, you are making yourself preposterous.

Panlilio as others describe him, is a happy-go-lucky leader of the province. He is so busy with speaking engagements and promoting false hopes and making Kapampangans believe they are now enjoying the fruit of his good governance. Makarine ka Gov., patse ababalu dang kalaraman mu ing sisiwalat mung good governance. Good governance is good to hear, but it is so irritating when this is being used only as pautot and nothing more. The capitol governance now is clouded with political insecurities. It does not trust even the regular officials as they suspect them as allies of the other side of the political fence hence, the Dabu-run-leadership cut down the mandated duties and powers of some officials they suspect as friends of their foes.

As the days of the governor in Pampanga politics are numbered, he must quickly quit or make some reforms or else, Aling Iska claimed, he would suffer the consequences of his insecurities.
The capitol now is like a divided kingdom, a place in trouble as the king and queen let troubles and division reign in the four corners of the Pampanga’s seat of power. The high heaven is not an advocate of division. The Almighty is not the lord of trouble. When there is division, strife and trouble, Satan reigns in that place. At the provincial government, division, strife and troubles are the names of the game. But, who reigns at the capitol? Just ask Panlilio under the Dabu-run-leadership.
